Gospel song: Mena Mwana - L' Eternel est bon

Hello Dears, I'm wishing you a wonderful sunday. Be blessed and controled by God and his love!

(Sung in French)
Et mon âme te loue, Et mon âme t’adore (My soul praises you, My soul adores you)
Et mon âme te loue, Car nul n’est comme toi (My soul praises you,For there’s none like you)
C’est un chant nouveau, Qui monte dans mon cœur (There’s a new song,From my heart)
Un cantique d’amour, Pour mon seul sauveur (It is a song of love for my only savior)
Il m’a pris de loin, Il m’a lavé (He took me away and washed me)
Et m’a racheté, Et placé à ses côtés (Redeemed me, and placed me beside Him)
Je n’ai plus peur de rien, je ne crains plus rien (I’m no longer afraid, I fear nothing)
Car le bon berger, Est de mon côté (For the good shepherd is by my side)
Même les ténèbres, n’ont plus aucun pouvoir sur moi
(The darkness has no power over me)
Car la clé de la mort, c’est mon maître qui la tient
(And it is my master who holds the keys over death)
Quand Il me tient la main, (When He holds my hands)
Nous fonçons droit dans l’armée de l’ennemi (We run at the advancing army)
Et le grand Goliath, se retrouve par terre (And Goliath the great falls to the ground)
Lui seul me suffit, Lui seul est tout pour moi (He alone is everything to me)
Quand je ne sais comment dire, je me mets à chanter (When I do not know how to speak, I sing)
Refrain:
L’eternel est bon (x3), il est bon pour moi (The Lord is good, He is good to me)
(Repeat)
Ses bontés divines, son amour parfait (His divine goodness, His perfect love)
Ses empreintes d’en haut, font ma différence (His hand from above, is my difference)
Je ne suis qu’une fille, et lui est mon Papa papa papa
(I am simply a child, and you my father)
Oh regarde bien, j’ai les traits du ROI (Look closely at the face of the King)
Lui seul me suffit, Lui seul est tout pour moi (He alone is everything to me)
Quand je ne sais comment dire, je me mets à chanter (When I do not know how to speak, I sing)
(Refrain)
Lui seul me suffit, Lui seul est tout pour moi (He alone is everything to me)
Quand je ne sais comment dire, je me mets à chanter (When I do not know how to speak, I sing)

Nana Mouskouri & Harry Belafonte - Duo - Try To Remember

Try To Remember
Is a beautiful song by Harry Belafonte, here sung with Nana Mouskouri. I love it and it is just right for the month of September. As a young girl I've often sung it during the autumn time. I think that Autumn is a beautiful season. The leaves are turning yellow, orange and red,  the sky is blue, the sun is not to strong as well. It blows a little wind out of Christmas! Oh just beautiful! In the region in Germany, where I live, around this time, wine grapes and chestnuts are ripe. This means you can now drink the the German speciality called Neuer Wein=New wine:  grape must, whose alcoholic fermentation has just started) and eat hot chestnuts!
I love this special time! I hope you too!

I wish you a wonderful month of September! Enjoy this beautiful season!

Try to Remember Lyrics

Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh, so mellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When grass was green and grain was yellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When you were a tender and callow fellow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
Then follow.

Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.

Try to remember when life was so tender
That no one wept except the willow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That dreams were kept beside your pillow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That love was an ember about to billow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
Then follow.

Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.

Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.

Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.

Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
Although you know the snow will follow.
Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
Without a hurt the heart is hollow.
Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
The fire of September that made us mellow.
Deep in December, our hearts should remember
And follow.

Beyonce --- I was here (World Humanitarian Day 2012)

Beyonce - I was here. A beautiful song sung by one of the best singer in the world! The scenery and the animation is impressive.
This song 'I was here' is dedicated to the 'World Humanitarian Day 2012'!
Today the 19th August 2012 is World Humanitarian Day! In my opinion, every day should be a humanitarian day. Humanitarian aid is not always associated with lots of money, even small gestures are needed. Help students with their homework, give the homeless some food, help the elderly in the household, these acts are not connected to money. But sometimes we lose sight for the humanitarian aid due to our daily worries. I personally would like to end this year, doing something good, so I can sing Beyonce's song 'I was here' without shame :)
What are your humanitarian acts, what you've been very proud of?

Enjoy the song, I have also added the lyrics, so you can sing along.

I was here
I wanna leave my footprints on the sands of timeKnow there was something that, and something that I left behindWhen I leave this world, I'll leave no regretsLeave something to remember, so they won't forget
I was hereI lived, I lovedI was hereI did, I've done, everything that I wantedAnd it was more than I thought it would beI will leave my mark so everyone will knowI was here
I want to say I lived each day, until I dieAnd know that I meant something in, somebody's lifeThe hearts I have touched, will be the proof that I leaveThat I made a difference, and this world will see
I was hereI lived, I lovedI was hereI did, I've done, everything that I wantedAnd it was more than I thought it would beI will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was hereI lived, I lovedI was hereI did, I've done, everything that I wantedAnd it was more than I thought it would beI will leave my mark so everyone will knowI was here
I just want them to knowThat I gave my all, did my bestBrought someone to hapinessLeft this world a little better just because
I was here
I was hereI lived, I lovedI was hereI did, I've done, everything that I wantedAnd it was more than I thought it would beI will leave my mark so everyone will knowI was here x2

Retro Music - Lucky Dube

Today's retro music is from the South African reggae star Lucky Dube. Lucky Dube was born on 03 August 1964 born. I have only good memories when I hear his songs. My husband and I have heard his songs several times a day at the beginning of our relationship. We have always wanted to go to his concert once. His tragic death on 18 October 2007 was to naught our plans. What remains is his immortal songs! The songs spray an energy and joy of life, you realize that it was his passion. His lyrics are timeless, because they deal with everyday issues. Here are three of my favorite songs with lyrics from him:

Lucky Dube - Oh my son

Lyrics
Oh my son, I am sorry about what happened
Many years ago
Me and your mother had trouble all the time
We could not stay together any more
The last solution was getting divorced
I know what that means to your life
I can hear you crying
From a million miles away
Calling "Daddy" but there 's no answer

But deep down in me I know the reason why
'cos the blood that runs in you
Is the same as the blood in me
I mean the blood, the blood that runs in you
Is the same as the blood in me

Oh my son I' m sorry
Oh my son I' m sorry
Oh my son I' m sorry

I can hear you crying
From a million miles away
Calling "Daddy" but there 's no answer
But deep down in me I know the reason why
'cos the blood that runs in you
Is the same as the blood in me
I mean the blood, the blood that runs in you
Is the same as the blood in me

'cos the blood that runs in you
Is the same as the blood in me
I say the blood, the blood that runs in you
(fade)

Lucky - Dube  Slave

Lyrics
Ministers of religion
have visited me many times
to talk about it
They say to me
I gotta leave it I gotta leave it
It's a bad habit
for a man
But when I try to leave it
my friends keep telling me
I'm a fool amongst fools

Chorus:
Now I'm a slave, a slave
I'm a slave
I'm a liquor slave
I'm a slave, a slave, slave
I'm a slave
Just a liquor slave

I have lost my dignity
I had before trying
to please everybody
Some say to me
yo yo
I look better when I'm drunk
Some say no no no
I look bad you know
Sometimes I cry
I cry but my crying
never helps me none

Chorus:
'Cos now I am a slave, a slave
I'm a slave
I'm just a liquor slave
I am a slave, a prisoner
I'm a slave
Just a liquor slave

Every night when I'm
coming back home
My wife gets worried
'cos she knows
Shes got double trouble
coming home
Sometimes I cry
I cry lord I cry
But my crying
never helps me

Lucky Dube - Let the Band play on

Let The Band Play On Lyrics

Even Though His Times Are Hard
you Can Hardly See It On His Face
because Of The Smile
people Coming In From Miles Away
to Hear Him Sing And See Him Play
so He Can' T Disappoint Them Now
the Room Is Full Of Smoke
but He Can See Them Dancing
and He Can See Them Crying
it Doesn' T Bother Him At All 'cause He Knows It' S Only Tears Of Joy

chorus:
let The Band Play On

there' S A Girl Sitting By The Corner There
and She Looks At Him With Her Big Brown Eyes
he Smiles Back And Carries On Playing
it Doesn' T Bother Him At All
somehow, It Gives Him Some Comfort
police Came In Halfway Through The Night
with The Good News
neighbours Are Complaining
'cause The Music Is So Low Low Low Low
so Turn It Up, Now
chorus:
let The Band Play On
